Dear Educator:
On behalf of the University of Southern California's Annenberg School of Journalism, it is my pleasure to invite you and five of your outstanding students to attend High School Journalism Day Spring 2011. The event is scheduled for Friday, March 11th, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism on the USC University Park campus.
Sponsored by the McCormick Foundation, High School Journalism Day provides an opportunity for students, advisers and parents to participate in workshops and panels taught by professional journalists and USC faculty members. We hope that these sessions will provide an opportunity for you and your students to gain practical information that you will be able to apply in your high school journalism or yearbook program.
High School Journalism Day is always very popular, and spaces fill up quickly. Since the number of participants is limited, we urge you to register as soon as possible. Registrations will be taken online on a first-come, first-served basis. Please visit our website at http://annenberg.usc.edu/highschool to view the agenda and to reserve your spot. Each participant should be registered in our online system as we need an accurate count of attendees
We request that advisers, who brought students last fall and wish to return, bring five different students. There is a registration fee of $5 per person which is due by March 8.
Please let you me know if you have any other questions or concerns. We hope you will be able to join us again this spring.
Sincerely,
Diane Cancino
Coordinator, High School Journalism Day
