In-Depth Reporting
For the April issue, we will be working on an in-depth news story. Please read the PDF titled In-Depth Reporting in the box above. You may have to scroll down to find it.

I'm proud of the March issue
We have a great mix of hard-hitting news and positive stories about students. Breigh and Kevin's story on the soccer coach is the best story we've done in the two years I've been advising the paper. I'm particularly happy that we have a story that happened the previous day on the front page. The inside pages recognize a lot of students who might not have gotten recognition otherwise.
You have a lot to be proud of. Keep up the good work and remember to speak up to anyone who criticizes our choice of news stories. The newspaper's reason for being is to report news, not to make friends. We may criticize each other freely inside the classroom, but outside the classroom, we stick together. If anyone makes a snide remark, say, "That's the best we could do under the circumstances."

We need letters
Remember, you homework assignment for this class is to bring in a letter to the editor from a classmate. The letter can be in response to something we published in the last issue, or it can be about what the person would like to read in future issues.
