Congratulations on the April Issue

Thanks to Karina and Maria for staying late on Monday and Tuesday to get the paper finished.

Please write a reflection on the April issue and post it here. Of what were you most proud? What  would you have changed? What do you need to work on for the next issue?

  1. I took many pictures that I was proud of. I thought the pictures of Art From Ashes came out to be great. I would have changed the quality of the pictures that I took. I need to get a story on the next issue, one that catches my attention. I will also help out like I did on this issue.

  3. I was proud of the fact that I turned in my articles on time, which was a goal I was hoping to accomplish since the last issue and I succeeded. (yay!) I was and will always be proud of the fact that with our limited staff, we accomplished to cover various stories that may or may not appeal to the student body but is of importance. The grammatical errors still exist, which I despise. So for the next issue, my new goal is to catch and correct the grammar mistakes so I don't have to hear from nagging peers about an extra apostrophe.

  4. this issue was challenging but very fun. i liked all stories. we were able to put the very important tories in the front and people seemed really interested in them even though some people used it to cover themselves from the rain. i am very proud of ourselves we did our best and i know that next time it will be amazing:)-jennifer^.^

  5. This Issue i think i did really well. I contributed more than i usually do and I am proud that i finished my stories on time. I'm a little disappointed that my stories got shortened but that's okay. Hopefully, for the next issue i get to contribute as much or possibly even more.

  6. Congrats to all!
We have once again managed to create another great issue. I am proud of everybody for turning in their news stories on time. It was a great help, so thank you all so much. However, I am not proud of my reporting skills I did not managed to find sufficient info for the new alumni association story (i will keep trying!) and the follow up on the schedule story was really small. Nevertheless we had a decent issue and everybody contributed.

  7. This issue was pretty good. I felt like we got it done faster than usual. The photos were good and enjoyable to look at. Everyone worked really hard in the amount of time we had. My favorite pages were the sports and the back page i liked the pictures. Overall everyone did a really good job:)

  8. I thought we performed well under the pressure of time constraint. I felt that I could have gotten more ads and edited more effectively, but the paper came through splendidly. The front page was clean looking and the sports page seemed popular. Everyone did an excellent job and they deserve a brief reprieve for a job well done, considering the things we must now attend to this month (shudder).

  9. Thanks to the hard work and collaboration of everyone we pulled through yet another paper for the month of April. I'm proud of the hard work and help that I saw from various of the reporters. We were faced with several disadvantages but we still put together a 12 page issue. The one thing I would have changed (myself) was putting more effort into checking the pages for small errors that could have been avoided. I'm proud of the articles that I wrote and am very glad that I received good comments about my features layout.

  10. I finally got Internet back at my house. Thanks to Karina this issues was able to get publish. I felt like I had many problems this issues, especially with my health I felt that got in the way a lot with my performance and I'll try better this issue because I felt that everyone put their 100% while I felt that I didn't put any effort at all but overall I am pleased that everyone did good and I am proud of the staff that was able to successfully make this issue possible

  11. I just realized that I had not posted a review of our April issue. I am extremely proud of how everyone pulled through to make this issue happen. I know we had a lot of setbacks because of my and Vanessa's absences, which increased the pressure on you, but you managed to do so without pushing back the publishing date. In the future, headlines should be made a top priority from the start, just to avoid future writer's block or inconveniences. -Karla
