  4. This article is very inspiring. It made me rethink how I write my stories. The way a person writes a stories may persuade someone to think or act a certain way towards a topic.

  5. I would write about events that would distract the people from the reality and about politics and stuff to not stress them about what the economy is right now. It should keep their mind off a few things that would relax them a bit. I think it would be nice to keep your mind off things that stress you out by enjoying some other events that may interest you. -Esteban Garcia

    1. I disagree with the idea centralized around stories built to "distract people from.. reality." I believe that what the majority of the population needs to see is that there is much to think about their environment and surroundings, despite the fact that these problems may not be affecting them and lie half a world away, perhaps in some remote area of the world. Journalists seek to tell the truth and present in such a way that allows the reader to gain a certain amount of knowledge, allows for less ignorance. Perhaps it is fine endeavoring to relax an individual...But don't believe that that is the primary concern of a journalist.

    2. I don't quite have any true idea concerning the type of stories I want to tell, I just seek to tell others the truth, as that is what journalists do. They venture to act as "trustworthy surrogates." I've always encouraged brandishing the truth in order to alert members of our society and coax forward their own opinions and decisions, though I believe those actions must benefit the greater good and not solely themselves.

  7. I completely agree with not just sitting back and allowing things to become worse. It's all good and well to protest and show your support, but ultimately that's not going to do much, so what needs to happen is to go out and actually do something that will have an impact. - lily

  10. I will write stories that inspire people and get them out of their seats in order to speak up for what they believe in. Right now when people are hopeless and scared about their future or the future of the country is the time when they need to speak up for what is right. I want to write stories that remind people that they shouldn't let their voice be shut down by politicians who think they are better than everyone else.

  11. As a journalist it is important we reveal to our readers the truth and also bring them hope in these upcoming years. Let them know we are not alone and share stories of the community, helping hands, and how we will not be torn apart.

  13. This article inspires journalists to express their feelings after the election results. There are many people looking on the news and waiting for more news. We as journalists now have a big chance to express their feelings. I would want to write about the Asian communities having people with expired visas and student visas. These people can not stay in the country any more. This is what I would want to write about.

  15. The election cannot be undone. However, this is an opportunity for journalists to unite minorities with their voices. Donald Trump is not even a president yet, and him being elected is serving as a gateway for harassment. Journalists can advocate for those who do not have a voice and inform people of their rights.

  17. This article motivates one to advocate and take action to support one's morals and values. I agree with what this article is saying. If someone has something to say, they should say it. They should use their freedom of speech and freedom of the press and express their opinions and beliefs. The thing about writing is that if it is posted in a public forum, then it can reach many more ears and minds than one simply saying it aloud. I would write about being a minority and literally fearing for my life after the results of the election. I would talk about being one of the most ridiculed races on Trump and Trump supporters' radars
